The International Steppers Association in collaboration with researchers from Nova Southeastern University is conducting a short survey to assess the economic and social culture of the Urban Dance community. We would like to reach over 10,000 urban dancers throughout the urban dance community. This is the largest cultural study covering Swing and non-Swing dances in history. The benefits of this short survey is to continue documenting the urban dance community to make sure there is a living legacy for the thousands of youth and young adults who will someday desire to learn about how the urban community participated in dance, community activities, corporate and social programs. The importance of this survey cannot be understated. Private, commercial and public sector organizations are very interested in the urban community, what we think, the way we behave and the way we commune as a body of dancers. We need your voice to make sure that each dance genre and the dancer’s voice is heard.
