International Steppers Association support World Dance Day

Prof, Alkis Raftis 2 April 2011

On behalf of the International Steppers Association, its supportive membership, communities and over 14,000 urban dancers who participate in the urban dance experience known as Steppin, we salute the efforts of UNESCO and many others who continue to recognize the importance of dance internationally. On Friday, 29 April 2011, we all will take a silent moment to recognize the contributions of so many great communities who have a shared interest in the history of dance. The strength of the collective dance experience continues to be reflected in the diversity of its participants and the sharing of knowledge among dancers internationally.

The importance of World Dance Day cannot be underestimated. The ISA will continue to support all organizations, schools, professionals and individuals who share this common goal of recognizing the contributions of dance in our community.

Please accept this formal letter as our official support of World Dance Day 2011. If there is anything we can do to assist your efforts, please contact us on our website or email us at info@internationalsteppersassociation.org.

Signed,

T. Dweylan Wilson

President

International Steppers Association
