Subject: Congresswoman Norton’s resolution for Annual National Dance Day
Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton:
On behalf of the members of the International Steppers Association and over 4,000 Steppers in the international dance community, the ISA would like to take this opportunity to say “thank you” for recognizing the importance of healthy lifestyles, social dance and community based programming. Dance continues to unify our community under one umbrella. The National Dance Day in the nation’s capital is a fitting place to recognize our country’s commitment to promoting fitness and supporting the First Lady’s Let’s Move initiative to combat childhood obesity.” Likewise, the Lifelong Improvements in Food and Exercise Act you introduced in January paves the way for obesity and sedentary lifestyles to be reduced in our community.
Congratulations on a job well done. The International Steppers Association and our broader community of dance friends and family applaud your commitment to healthy living. Please let us know if we can be of service in the future.

Sincerely,

Timothy D. Wilson
President
International Steppers Association
